Today When You Hear His Voice
While resting under my favorite oak tree in the back yard, the Lord spoke to me regarding the many articles found on our site. He questioned me concerning a more excellent message beyond women’s equality, that being our eternal salvation. Reflecting on this, my heart was troubled and I had to repent of our taking for granted that all who enter our site know salvation through Jesus Christ, but that can hardly be true and our desire is that all may come to know the Lord in a personal way.
We speak much of a woman’s equality IN Christ, but in order to receive this great position of honor, we must receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. His Word tells us in John 1:12-13, the Amplified Bible: But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right, to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in - adhere to, trust in and rely on – His name; who owe their birth neither to bloods, nor to the will of the flesh (that of physical impulse), nor to the will of man (that of a natural father) but to God. ----- They are born of God!
Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born anew (from above). (John 3: 3-8) Verse 7 expressly tells us we must ALL be born anew (from above). Jesus told Nicodemus no one could see, that is (experience or become acquainted with the kingdom, nor could one enter the kingdom, unless they are born again.
Again the Scripture tells us if we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. This is not joining a church, for when we are born again, we become members of His body, which is the church. Salvation is more than sitting before a counselor in some prayer room and being told we are Christian, it is more than signing some card at a conference or rally; it is a heart matter; recognizing our lost condition and acknowledging our need for a Savior. When we humbly come to Him, in deep repentance for our sin, He will never turn us away and His Spirit will bear witness that we have become His very own. If one does not know they have been born again, then they have not, for the Spirit makes it known to us.
Now, this is not to be an easy believism, for all disciples are called to a life of obedience to Christ. He told His disciples they were truly His disciples if they remained in His Word and kept His teachings. (John 8:31)
A universal teaching propagates a false gospel, leading people to believe that everyone is a child of God which negates the very words of Jesus. Surely, we are all His creation, but not His children. In John 8:44 we read that Jesus tells the Jews their father was the devil. So, how can people teach we are All children of God?
The wind of the Spirit is blowing all over the world, calling out those who would answer His invitation to come to Him. Today when we hear His voice, let us not turn harden our hearts and turn Him away. There are numerous signs of our Lord’s return; the hands of the clock are pointing to the midnight hour when time shall be no more. In this life only do we have opportunity, for it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment.
Truly, Jesus is the only way to eternal life. He declared: I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE; no one comes to the Father except through ME. (John 14:6)
The Psalmist exhorts us: Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
We invite you to answer His call if you have never made this profound decision.
There is no disappointment in Jesus for He is the lover of our souls and a Friend forever!
