Word Study It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2 The Bible in the original languages is the Word of God. Our translations,
while good, are not perfect. They reflect both the scholarship and bias of
the translators. We are all aware of how rapidly language changes.
Therefore it is easy to see that accurate translation must be based on how
language was used during the writer’s lifetime—not hundreds of years before or
after.
