Healing Words Archives 2003 January 2003 Taken from the Amplified Bible LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23 It is of the Lord's mercies and loving-kindnesses that we are not consumed, because His (tender) compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. ISAIAH 46:4 Even to your old age I am He, and even to hair of white with age will I carry you. I have made and I will bear; yes, I will carry and will save you. JEREMIAH 17:7 (Most) blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. ISAIAH 45:5-6 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me. I will gird and arm you though you have you have not known Me, that men may know from the east and the rising of the sun, and from the west and its going down, that there is no God besides Me. I am the Lord, and no one else is He. February 2003 Taken from the N.I.V. Bible I John 3:1-3 How great is the love the Father has lavished upon us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. All who have this hope in them purify themselves, just as He is pure. I John 3:13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. John 15:18-19 "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." John 15:9, 11 "As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now, remain in My love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world." March 2003 (Taken from the N.I.V. Bible) John 14:1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me."Psalm 34:15, 17- 18 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry; The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Revelation 3:11-12 Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. Those who overcome I will make pillars in the temple of My God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from My God; and I will also write on them my new name. Revelation 22:7 "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who keep the words of the prophecy of this book." April 2003 (Taken from the N.I.V.) Psalm 18: 30-31 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? Psalm 20: 7 -8 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. Psalm 92:5-8 How great are your works, O Lord, how profound your thoughts! Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. But you, O Lord, are exalted forever. Psalm 94:20-22 Can a corrupt throne be allied with you- one that brings misery by its decrees? They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge. May 2003 (Taken from the RSV Bible) Psalm 62: 1-2 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my Rock and my salvation, my fortress; I will not be greatly moved. Psalm 62:8 - Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 64:10 Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord, and take refuge in Him! Let all the upright in heart glory! Luke 1:49-50, 52 For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree; He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent empty away. June 2003 (Taken from the NIV Bible) MATTHEW 9:11 -13 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ' I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." LUKE 8:35b When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus' feet, dressed and in his right mind, and they were afraid. MATTHEW 9:35 - 36 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd. ISAIAH 51:1 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the Rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;......" HEBREWS 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. July 2003 Taken from the N.I.V. Bible Matthew 14:34-36 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. And when the people of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him, and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed. Matthew 15:25-28 The woman came and knelt before him, "Lord, help me!" she said. He replied, "It is n ot right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs." "Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table." Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed that very hour. Mark 9:25-26 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. "You deaf and mute spirit," he said, I command you come out of him and never enter him again." The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, "He's dead." But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. Luke 4:38-40 Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and begun to wait on them. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. AUGUST 2003 (Taken from the Amplified Bible) Isaiah 26:9 My soul yearns for You [O Lord] in the night; yes, my spirit within me seeks You earnestly; for only when Your judgments are in the earth will the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness - uprightness and right standing with God. SONG OF SOLOMON 2:10, 14 My beloved speaks and says to me, rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. [So I went with Him and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside, my beloved shepherd said to me] O my dove, [while you are there] in the seclusion of the clefts of the solid rock, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely. Isaiah 27: 2-3 In that day it will be said [of the redeemed nation of Israel], a vineyard beloved and lovely; sing a responsive song to it and about it. I, the Lord, am its keeper; I water it every moment; lest anyone harm it, I guard and keep it night and day. Song of Solomon 5:16 His voice and speech are exceedingly sweet; yes, He is altogether lovely - the whole of him delights and is precious. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. Psalm 92:15 b He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. SEPTEMBER 2003 Taken from the NIV. Bible PSALM 119: 89-91 Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens; Your faithfulness continues through all generations; You established the earth, and it endures. Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve You. Psalm 119:126-127 It is time for You to act, O Lord; Your law is being broken. Because I love Your commands more than gold, and because I consider all Your precepts right, I hate every wrong path. Psalm 108:1-5 My heart is steadfast, O God; I will make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth. DECEMBER 2003 Glory to God in the Highest! Matthew 4:16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light and for those who sat in the land and shadow of death Light has dawned. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Luke 2:13-14 Then suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of the troops of heaven - a heavenly knighthood - praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is well-pleased - men of good will, of His favor. John 1:4 In Him was Life and the Life was the Light of men. He came as a babe and is now the soon returning King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Hallelujah
